Alexandre BAGDASSARIAN
Born in 1992, i am a French photographer. My work, related to my family and personal history, is rooted in both photojournalism and the visual arts. On the border between the real and the imaginary, explore layers of history, forgotten territories, their peoples and the ties that bind them together.
My first long terme documentary, "Les Naufragés" (2013-2017), deals with solitude and the notion of identity in the Atacama Desert, a multi-layered place where the visible seems at every moment to rub shoulders with the invisible. More recently, "La couleur de la grenade" (2022-2023), a series produced in Armenia, presents an intrigued and emphatic look at the country of his ancestors.
